No remote control required.   Power up Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, each charge typically lasts 9–12 months. Recharge overnight using the supplied recharger. Like any rechargeable battery, it has an end life, which depending on how often you use it, is generally around 2-3 years. Replacement batteries are available when needed.
